Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a materials management supervisor responsible for receiving, sorting, inspecting, and delivering incoming material shipments within a stockroom, warehouse, receiving, or mail center under minimal supervision.

You will lead or mentor a team, plan and assign work, ensure accuracy against invoices and packing slips, maintain inventories, and support training of staff; 5 years of materials handling experience required, strong logistics knowledge, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in logistics, warehouse, or other related fields.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Exhibits accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work for quality.
• Ability to understand and act on written instructions.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, and leads the work of all materials management operations and assist in performing tasks to include product shipments, mail, linen, uniforms, surplus, records boxes, merchandise for resale, etc.
• Ensures complete inspection of materials against supplier invoices, bills of lading, packing slips, customer orders and similar documents.
• Manages shipment discrepancies to resolution with appropriate vendor and ensures accuracy of filled requisitions and materials delivered to customers.
• Maintains stockroom inventories and related materials, service center billing systems, and records.
• May assist with interviewing, selecting and training employees.
• May perform many of the same duties as subordinate employees based on departmental needs.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
