Job summary

Benjamin Moore is seeking a dedicated Materials Manager to oversee all raw materials and finished goods at the Newark manufacturing location. You will coordinate material flow, supplier relations, inbound/outbound schedules, and inventory accuracy, while driving lean improvements and cost efficiency across the facility.

The role requires leadership of 5–15 associates, strong problem-solving skills, and a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in materials management or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing/materials management.
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Ability to manage warehouse operations, scheduling, and inventories across multi-buildings.

Responsibilities

• Be a decision maker and problem solver for the site.
• Supervise and provide assistance to department leads daily.
• Manages team of 5-15 personnel responsible for forklift operations, scheduling inbound/outbound trucks, cycle counting and material ordering.
• Manage employee attendance, performance goals, and disciplinary actions.
• Write/update work instructions to support consistent performance.
• Regularly audit safety, quality, and productivity performance.
• Adjust staffing levels and shift schedules to meet production needs.
• Coach on safety, quality, and work processes; pursue continuous improvement.
