Job summary

The Materials Manager at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is responsible for overall project materials management including sourcing, procurement, logistics and on-site contractor management for the Company.

You’ll develop industry best material management practices, coordinate with customer-approved local vendors for expedited needs, and ensure materials align with construction and delivery schedules. Strong communication, problem solving and planning are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Construction/EPC experience in electric power delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages material management practices and resources with client.
• Coordinate with local vendors to obtain materials for expedited requests.
• Interface with procurement to ensure materials align with construction schedules.
• Perform material take-offs and determine materials needed for project completion.
• Forecast lead times and material availability to support schedules.
• Oversee vendor shipments and ensure timely delivery to site.
• Manage receiving, counting and inspection of materials at site.
• Operate and input data in inventory system (ClearSpider) for real-time reporting.
