Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Materials Associate to support a defense technology company in Santa Ana/Costa Mesa, CA. The role is a Contract to Hire position with day shifts (7am–5pm) and overtime potential; flexibility for second or third shifts is valued.

You may work across up to 10 miles between facilities and will handle shipping, receiving, and inventory control. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a warehouse role, ERP and inventory management experience, forklift skills, and a valid license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a warehouse associate or equivalent role.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and other warehouse management and inventory control tools.
• Familiarity with inventory management, including Lot, Serial, and Batch tracking at high mix, high production volumes.
• Experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent office management tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Forklift experience and a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Process shipping and receiving at the Santa Ana and/or Costa Mesa locations as needed.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, labeling, loading, and securing products.
• Ensure accurate material movement across sites for each transaction.
• Pull orders from inventory, deliver production materials and supplies as needed, and stage finished products for distribution.
• Conduct cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy as a top priority.
• Identify, label, and keep materials and supplies in stock, recording inventory location and reporting shortages.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signal operators to move materials onto and off trucks and loading docks.
• Expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments according to production schedules.
