Job summary

Sigma Design is seeking a Materials Associate (Contract-to-hire) to support shipping, receiving, and inventory in our Costa Mesa, CA facility. The role focuses on accurate material movement and coordination with production and cross-functional teams.

On-site, you will handle cycles counts, labeling, and ERP-based records to ensure timely availability of materials for schedules. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 2 years in a related role, with forklift experience and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse/materials experience preferred.
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with ERP/WMS and inventory control tools preferred.
• Experience with hazardous materials handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Label, locate, record materials, and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment.
• Transfer materials between locations to support production and distribution.
• Expedite movement of materials within and between departments.
• Maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment.
• Follow procedures for handling, packaging, and transporting materials including hazardous materials when applicable.
• Maintain inventory/shipping records using ERP/WMS and other systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve material issues.
• Provide responsive internal customer service for material needs.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
