Job summary

Sigma Design in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Materials Associate (Contract-to-hire) to support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations on a full-time onsite basis. The role collaborates with production and logistics teams to keep materials flowing and inventory accurate.

Key duties include cycle counts, labeling and tracking materials, operating forklifts, and coordinating transfers between locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of warehouse/inventory experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP and WMS preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment preferred.
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as required based on business needs.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain inventory by labeling, locating, recording materials and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely.
• Coordinate material transfers between locations to support production and distribution requirements.
• Expedite movement of materials according to production and shipping schedules.
• Maintain an organized, safe warehouse environment.
• Follow procedures for handling and transporting materials, including hazardous materials when applicable.
• Maintain inventory and shipping records using ERP, WMS, and inventory control tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve material or inventory issues.
• Provide responsive internal customer service for material needs.
