Job summary

Johns Manville in Bremen IN is seeking a Materials Manager to lead planning, procurement, and warehousing for a 24/7 manufacturing operation. You will manage inventory, optimize material flow, and coordinate with production and customer service to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in warehouse/inventory management in manufacturing, plus 2 years of supervision and 1 year of purchasing/forecasting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in warehouse and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• 1 year purchasing and forecasting experience.
• Experience adhering to quality management systems.
• Experience with SAP or ERP warehouse management systems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, order, and procure raw materials to support production while analyzing inventory levels and demand forecasts.
• Adjust production schedules and priorities based on changing business needs.
• Lead warehouse operations and oversee a team of 16 employees.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics.
• Monitor cycle counts and inventory accuracy; identify discrepancies.
• Review labor utilization and overtime needs.
• Drive continuous improvements in safety, efficiency, and cost control.
• Ensure materials and packaging are available to support production.
