Job summary

Johns Manville in Bremen, IN is seeking a Materials Manager to lead planning, procurement, and inventory for a 24/7 manufacturing operation. You will drive production scheduling, material availability, and logistics to keep customers satisfied.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in warehouse/inventory management in manufacturing, and 2 years supervising teams with 1 year purchasing/forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in warehouse and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years of supervisory experience and 1 year of purchasing and forecasting experience.
• Experience in adhering to quality management systems.
• Experience maintaining a safe work environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP or ERP warehouse management systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Proven ability to set and control inventory.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work after hours and extended shifts.
• Solid project management and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, order, and procure raw materials to support production and analyze inventory levels and demand forecasts.
• Adjust production schedules and priorities as needed.
• Partner with customer service, production, and operations teams.
• Lead warehouse operations and supervise 16 employees.
• Monitor cycle counts and inventory accuracy; identify discrepancies.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics.
• Manage packaging and semi-finished goods inventory for uninterrupted production.
• Drive safety, efficiency, and cost-control improvements across distribution.
