Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Materials, Packaging and Logistics Engineer in Charlotte, NC. You will optimize material flow, packaging design, replenishment systems and warehouse layout to support lean production and continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, Packaging, Logistics or Supply Chain and 3+ years in related fields, with 2+ years in material flow and data analytics. SAP/PLM experience is a plus; U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Packaging, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• 3+ years of experience in materials, logistics, packaging, or supply chain engineering.
• 2+ years of experience working with material flow and packaging systems.
• 2+ years of experience with data analytics and project management.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design material flows, picking routes, line-side presentation, and warehouse layouts.
• Develop and implement packaging solutions (reusable and expendable).
• Lead Kanban, replenishment, and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Manage container, rack, and packaging fleets, including maintenance and capital planning.
• Implement reverse logistics programs for returnable containers and racks.
• Support NPI launches and production ramp-ups.
• Collaborate with suppliers to design, source, and deploy packaging solutions.
• Create and maintain packaging standards, work instructions, and best practices.
• Analyze operational data and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Partner with Production, Safety, Engineering, Procurement, and Logistics teams.
• Participate in Kaizen events and Lean initiatives.
