Job summary

Generac in Wisconsin seeks a Materials Supervisor to oversee end-to-end material flow for production, including receiving, warehouse, and internal transfers. You will drive improvements in inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and efficient labor use, while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead a materials team, partner with Quality, Purchasing and Production, and act as SAP SuperUser to optimize warehouse processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of materials leadership.
• 2 years of experience leading teams, developing people or organizing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely material flow within the facility and timely delivery in receiving material and preparation for shipment.
• Develop and implement standard processes and strategies to enable production efficiency improvements.
• Lead, supervise, and develop materials staff through education, training, coaching, mentoring and certification.
• Manage and optimize daily warehousing operations including staging, cycle count, and storage of materials.
• Oversee inventory management and control, accuracy, and established inventory guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure efficient and accurate materials presentation to support production operations.
• Collaborate with Quality, Purchasing and Production to resolve delivery issues and meet KPIs.
• Maintain communication between planning, purchasing and production to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Lead and improve Material/Inventory Management practices including Warehouse Management and RFID.
• Maintain staffing levels for daily material management balancing resources to workload.
