Rivian invites applications for a Material Flow Engineering Manager at our Normal, IL facility. The role leads the end-to-end material supply chain, from external suppliers to the assembly line, ensuring material availability for high-volume production while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The position demands a technical leader who can navigate ambiguity and drive first-principles engineering solutions globally.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in high‑volume manufacturing OEMs/logistics or supply chain engineering with supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years data-based development of end-to-end supply chain processes in high-volume facilities.
• CAD experience with AutoCAD for layout planning (2+ years).
• Experience with MES, MRP, or WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation of supply chain logistics and real-time throughput optimization.
• Deploy and integrate material handling automation (AGVs, ASRS, conveyors).
• Model material flow strategies to optimize cost, space, and throughput.
• Create lean, safe factory layouts covering from receiving to production line.
