Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Material Flow Engineering Manager in Normal, IL to lead the end-to-end material supply chain, from suppliers to the assembly line, ensuring material availability for high-volume production with safety and efficiency.

The role demands a technically oriented leader who can drive cross-functional strategy, implement first-principles solutions, and advance automation including AGVs, ASRS, and conveyors while integrating MES, MRP, and WMS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ to 10 years in high-volume manufacturing OEMs, logistics, or supply chain engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience with data-based development of end-to-end supply chain processes and layout planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation of supply chain logistics and projects bridging physical logistics and digital intelligence.
• Develop and analyze material flow strategies to optimize cost, space, and throughput.
• Oversee optimization of databases for material tracking and inventory control; collaborate with IT on digital systems.
• Design Lean, safe factory layouts; specify material handling assets and layout paths.
• Manage cross-functional project teams, vendors, and safety/throughput milestones.
• Create SOPs and work instructions to standardize tasks.
