Job summary

DMC in Blum, TX is seeking a Material Coordinator to oversee shipping and receiving activities across the dock. You will verify materials, coordinate with production, and ensure accurate documentation and compliant processes to keep material flow uninterrupted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-2 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to safely operate required material-handling equipment following training.
• Ability to safely handle hazardous/explosive materials in accordance with training and established procedures.
• Ability to become certified on forklifts and other required powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process shipping and receiving of materials through the dock area, including loading and unloading materials using walking pallet jacks and/or forklifts as needed depending on location and type of material.
• Coordinate and verify incoming materials, quantities, purchase orders, and shipping documentation to ensure accurate and timely receipt.
• Coordinate the staging, and shipping and receiving of materials between departments and designated locations to support operational requirements.
• Manage receiving dock activities including truck coordination, loading/unloading of materials, and retention of appropriate documentation of material movements and activities.
• Oversee (and participate in) material identification, labeling, repackaging, and preparation in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records to support operational accountability, financial integrity, and audit requirements. Review and reconcile discrepancies and variances as needed.
• Escalate material shortages, discrepancies, damage material, and documentation issues to senior staff or supervision
• Perform other duties related to inventory movement and dock activities as required or assigned.
