Job summary

DMC is seeking a Material Coordinator for the 1st shift at the Whitney dock to coordinate receiving and transfer activities, ensuring accurate documentation and material flow. The role supports production by maintaining efficient dock operations and cross‑functional coordination.

The position requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and the ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks as needed. Applicable training and certifications are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-2 years shipping, receiving, warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to safely operate required material-handling equipment following training.
• Ability to safely handle hazardous/explosive materials in accordance with training and established procedures.
• Ability to become certified on forklifts and other required powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process shipping and receiving of materials through the dock area, including loading/unloading using pallet jacks or forklifts as needed.
• Coordinate and verify incoming materials, quantities, purchase orders, and shipping documentation for accurate receipt.
• Coordinate staging, shipping and receiving of materials between departments to support operations.
• Manage receiving dock activities including truck coordination, loading/unloading, and documentation of movements.
• Oversee material identification, labeling, repackaging, and preparation per procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain records to support accountability, audit readiness and reconcile discrepancies.
• Escalate material shortages, discrepancies, damage material, and documentation issues to senior staff.
• Perform other duties related to inventory movement and dock activities.
