Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking a proactive Material Expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials for rapid prototype builds, testing, and production. You will coordinate with procurement, engineering, logistics, and suppliers to resolve shortages and accelerate shipments.

The role requires strong organizational skills, experience with ERP/MRP systems, and familiarity with DoD procurement standards (ITAR/DFARS).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in materials expediting, supply chain, logistics, or production planning.
• Strong understanding of supply chain workflows and manufacturing operations.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of technical drawings and BOMs is preferred.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, maritime, robotics, or high-tech manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track open purchase orders and material deliveries to ensure alignment with production schedules and program milestones.
• Proactively identify material shortages, late deliveries, or supply chain risks and drive timely resolution.
• Expedite critical materials by coordinating directly with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to understand technical requirements, revisions, and bill of materials (BOM) changes.
• Maintain accurate status updates within ERP/MRP systems to ensure real-time visibility of material flow.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, and production ramp-ups through focused material coordination.
• Work closely with manufacturing and warehouse teams to prioritize incoming materials and manage physical inventory flow.
• Ensure compliance with DoD procurement regulations and company policies, including ITAR and DFARS requirements, where applicable.
• Generate and analyze material status reports to support leadership decision-making.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies related to receiving, documentation, or supplier performance.
