Job summary

Saronic Technologies in Austin, TX seeks a proactive Material Expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials for rapid prototype builds and production runs. You will coordinate with procurement, engineering, logistics, and suppliers to track orders, resolve shortages, and accelerate deliveries while maintaining BOM integrity.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in materials expediting or related fields, with ERP/MRP experience and knowledge of DoD procurement standards.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in materials expediting, supply chain, logistics, or production planning.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain workflows and manufacturing operations.

  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite/SAP or similar).
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, maritime, robotics, or other high-tech manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with DoD procurement and compliance standards (ITAR, DFARS).
  • Forklift certification or experience managing physical inventory.
  • Experience supporting prototype builds or low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track open purchase orders and material deliveries to ensure alignment with production schedules and program milestones.
  • Proactively identify material shortages, late deliveries, or supply chain risks and drive timely resolution.
  • Expedite critical materials by coordinating directly with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to understand technical requirements, revisions, and BOM changes.
  • Maintain accurate status updates within ERP/MRP systems to ensure real-time visibility of material flow.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, and production ramp-ups through focused material coordination.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and warehouse teams to prioritize incoming materials and manage physical inventory flow.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD procurement regulations and company policies, including ITAR and DFARS requirements, where applicable.
  • Generate and analyze material status reports to support leadership decision-making.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies related to receiving, documentation, or supplier performance.

Job Overview

Saronic Technologies is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Material Expeditor to ensure that materials, components, and equipment are delivered accurately and on time to support rapid prototype builds, testing cycles, and production runs.

In this role, you will serve as a critical link between procurement, engineering, logistics, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to track open orders, resolve material shortages, and accelerate deliveries when necessary. Your ability to anticipate risks, communicate clearly, and drive urgency across internal and external partners will directly impact production schedules and program milestones.
