Qualifications

• 2+ years in materials expediting, supply chain, logistics, or production planning.
• Strong understanding of supply chain workflows and manufacturing operations.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of BOMs and technical drawings preferred.
• Experience in defense/aerospace/maritime or high-tech manufacturing.
• Familiarity with DoD procurement and compliance standards (ITAR, DFARS).
• Forklift certification or experience managing physical inventory.
• Experience supporting prototype builds or low-volume, high-mix manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track open purchase orders and material deliveries to ensure alignment with production schedules and program milestones.
• Proactively identify material shortages, late deliveries, or supply chain risks and drive timely resolution.
• Expedite critical materials by coordinating directly with suppliers, freight carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to understand technical requirements, revisions, and BOM changes.
• Maintain accurate status updates within ERP/MRP systems to ensure real-time visibility of material flow.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, and production ramp-ups through focused material coordination.
• Work closely with manufacturing and warehouse teams to prioritize incoming materials and manage physical inventory flow.
• Ensure compliance with DoD procurement regulations and company policies, including ITAR and DFARS where applicable.
• Generate and analyze material status reports to support leadership decision-making.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies related to receiving, documentation, or supplier performance.
