Job summary

Generac Power Systems in Wisconsin seeks an experienced Materials Manager to lead material flow, warehouse operations, and SAP supervision. You will drive KPI-based improvements in delivery and inventory control and mentor a team to achieve operational goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Quality, Purchasing and Production to solve issues and improve overall efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of materials leadership.
• 2 years of experience leading teams, developing people or organizing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely material flow within the facility and timely receiving/shipping of parts.
• Develop and implement standard processes to improve production efficiency.
• Lead and develop materials staff through education, training and coaching.
• Manage daily warehousing operations including staging, cycle count and storage.
• Oversee inventory management with accuracy and guidelines.
• Collaborate with Quality, Purchasing and Production on quality and delivery issues.
• Maintain communications between planning, purchasing and production for customer satisfaction.
• Lead and improve material/inventory management practices (RFID, barcoding, fill rate).
• Act as SAP SuperUser within the materials area.
