Job summary

Tory Burch is seeking an Assistant, Materials Development - Ready-To-Wear in New York to support fabric and leather development from proto to commercialization, ensuring materials meet brand quality and cost targets.

This role partners with Design, Color & Print, Product Development, suppliers, and factories to deliver seasonal fabrics on time and to spec, while maintaining documentation in PLM and Finale Inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in textiles or fashion merchandising required.
• 2–3 years of experience in trims development, production, or sourcing in apparel.
• Proficiency in Excel, PLM, and Illustrator is a plus.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain seasonal fabrics in PLM and ensure correct colors.
• Create PLM board cards and maintain fabric boards.
• Manage proto and SMS sampling orders for on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with PD/design to allocate and ship fabrics to factories.
• Organize seasonal SMS testing and update results.
