Job summary

VAERO in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Materials Handler to support manufacturing and fabrication schedules under supervision from the Materials Manager.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading freight, receiving and storing materials with accurate data, preparing items for shipment, and coordinating with cell leaders to meet on-time start dates and completions while maintaining clean, safe workspaces.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• Basic computer skills including spreadsheet software required.
• Knowledge of a specialized field such as production control and inventory control preferred.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a valid state driver's license.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• May be required to stand for sustained periods.
• May be required to stoop and bend frequently.
• May be required to lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Good oral and written communication skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from incoming shipments; receive and store materials with data accuracy.
• Prepare items for shipment; validate information, count, weight, size and labels.
• Coordinate workflow and monitor work centers to ensure on-time start dates and completions.
• Maintain liaison with Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling and support departments to meet schedule requirements.
• Select components on work orders and update database to maintain traceability and inventory accuracy.
• Perform cycle counts with 95% accuracy.
• Keep workspaces clean and compliant with company standards.
