Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Material Control professional to coordinate material distribution for production and to maintain accurate inventory records. The role involves issuing materials to the floor, performing cycle counts, and ensuring timely data entry in the ERP system to produce reliable reports.

The position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor in the Production department, emphasizing lean practices and safe forklift operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP ERP and inventory control is preferred.
• Strong data entry and reporting skills in ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Office and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production materials per work orders and issue to the production floor.
• Maintain accurate physical inventory of all parts and materials.
• Manage inventory storage for logical, efficient retrieval.
• Conduct physical inventories (cycle, annual) as scheduled.
• Enter details into ERP systems to maintain databases and generate reports.
• Release work orders and process daily inventory transactions.
• Coordinate with Purchasing/Engineering to resolve material issues.
• Support lean initiatives to reduce waste and cost.
