Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Material Handler to organize components for assembly teams in a fast-paced environment, with close collaboration with Production Supervisors and Schedulers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months of related experience, basic math, and proficiency with database, inventory, and office software. forklift certification per OSHA is required. Remote-friendly with occasional onsite work.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
Basic math and the ability to use rates, ratios, and percent.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve basic problems.
Proficiency with database, inventory, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
Forklift operator training certification in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178.

Responsibilities

Move, gather, and distribute items based on orders and requests.
Unload shipments and verify contents against bills of lading.
Store items in designated bins and assign locations.
Prepare periodic inventory and maintain computer-based records.
Operate forklift and pallet jacks as needed.
Participate in cycle counts and transport materials within the plant.
