Job summary

Vertiv, a fast growing Fortune 500 manufacturing company, is looking for a Buyer to join the materials team at our expanding Ironton, OH plant. The Buyer will serve as the central point of coordination between Purchasing, Planning, and Production, ensuring material is available before it is required on the shop floor.

In this role, you will run CTB daily to validate material availability, identify gaps and shortages, proactively expedite purchase orders, and develop regular reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience in stockroom, warehousing, or inventory movement.
• 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• BS in Business Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material availability with planning and production.
• Expedite purchase orders and liaise with suppliers.
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Apply 5S techniques to workspace and inventory storage.
• Assist in maintaining accurate production schedules.
