Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Buyer at its Chandler, MN facility to manage raw materials, production supplies, and MRO inventory. You will work closely with production, scheduling, vendors, and Accounts Payable to ensure material availability and timely procurement for changing production demands.

Qualifications

• Purchasing, inventory, materials or supply-chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred; protein-based manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Experience working with MRP or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to changing production requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor MRP requirements and purchase materials used in finished-goods production.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels for production, MRO, office and one-time purchases.
• Coordinate with production and scheduling teams to support short-term plans and last-minute changes.
• Manage vendor communication, purchase orders, delivery timing and supply issues.
• Prepare forecasts and monitor minimum and maximum order quantities.
• Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve PO and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data in company systems.
• Support the commercialization and material setup of new SKUs.
