Jobot seeks a Buyer for its Chandler, MN facility to manage raw materials, production supplies, MRO inventory, and other purchasing needs. The role collaborates with production, scheduling, vendors, and Accounts Payable to ensure materials are available to meet shifting production demands.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing purchasing or supply-chain experience, familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, and strong analytical skills to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor MRP requirements and purchase materials for production.
• Maintain inventory levels for production, MRO, office, and one-time purchases.
• Coordinate with production and scheduling to support changes.
• Manage vendor communication, POs, delivery timing, and issues.
• Prepare forecasts and monitor order quantities.
• Collaborate with AP to resolve PO/invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data.
• Support new SKU commercialization and material setup.

A growing food manufacturer is seeking a Buyer to manage raw materials, production supplies, MRO inventory, and other purchasing needs for its Chandler facility. This position will work closely with production, scheduling, vendors, and Accounts Payable to ensure materials are available to meet changing production demands.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Monitor MRP requirements and purchase materials used in finished-goods production.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels for production, MRO, office, and one-time purchases.
• Coordinate with production and scheduling teams to support short-term plans and last-minute changes.
• Manage vendor communication, purchase orders, delivery timing, and supply issues.
• Prepare forecasts and monitor minimum and maximum order quantities.
• Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve purchase-order and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data within company systems.
• Support the commercialization and material setup of new SKUs.

Qualifications

• Purchasing, inventory, materials, or supply-chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred; protein-based manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Candidates from broader CPG manufacturing environments will also be considered.
• Experience working with MRP or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to changing production requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly move throughout the manufacturing facility.
