Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Northwood, Ohio, seeks a driven materials and scheduling specialist to support ERP systems, improve data accuracy and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams.

You will assist in ERP implementation, monitor reports, manage EDI interfaces, and contribute to QS-9000 compliant processes, while ensuring on-time delivery and optimal inventory turns in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; six years relate d experience may substitute.
• Minimum three years in a fast-paced environment with scheduling and materials management.
• Experience with MRP, production support systems, and Windows NT.

Responsibilities

• Assist ERP implementation, documentation and improvements.
• Review ERP reports to monitor departmental performance as dictated by objectives.
• Monitor ERP input and maintain data accuracy.
• Assist in ERP classes development for Norplas team training.
• Learn major duties and assist Scheduling and Materials Administrators during peak periods.
• Establish and maintain EDI interfaces with customers and suppliers.
• Provide backup to Sales Administrator for BOMs, routings and shop floor activities.
• Assist in material control processes to meet QS-9000 requirements.
• Review supplier base and conduct price reviews on a rotational schedule.
• Support APQP launches and supplier qualification for the launch team.
• Gather supplier rating information and provide feedback.
• Generate daily management reports for operations communication.
• Develop continuous improvement programs and QS-9000 activities.
• Participate in system solutions to improve communication and reduce waste.
• Assist in supplier agreements and bid packages for Norplas.
