Job summary

Magna Exteriors seeks a seasoned Production Control leader to drive scheduling, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery. This role partners across departments to execute continuous improvement and maintain safe, compliant operations.

You will review releases, coordinate claims, manage staffing, and coach teams to reduce disruptions and optimize material flow. A BS in Materials Management and MRP awareness are preferred; eight years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in production and inventory control.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Eight years of work experience.
• Strong problem-solving and math skills.
• Good computer skills to support day-to-day Production Control.
• Collaborative communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Ability to deliver clear presentations and maintain confidentiality.
• BS degree in Materials Management; MRPs exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous process improvement within Production Control coordinating demand, EDI, and scheduling.
• Review customer releases to align scheduling priorities.
• Coordinate customer claims through Sales Administration to support timely resolution.
• Plan plant inventories, cycle counts, and improve inventory control processes.
• Build effective customer relationships and ensure timely communication.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement engaging direct reports.
• Provide training and information to ensure new methods are understood and sustained.
• Ensure safety, quality, environmental, and BOS policies are followed.
• Maintain attendance records, approve time sheets, and manage vacations.
• Provide hands-on technical support to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Lead department meetings and project teams; coordinate staffing actions as needed.
• Champion cost-reduction and innovation with measurable efficiency improvements.
• Develop and refine department procedures to standardize practices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
