Job summary

Magna International Limited seeks a Material Analyst to coordinate material supply for production, working closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely, cost‑effective procurement and optimal inventory levels.

The role focuses on preventing shortages or excesses across series production, pre‑series, and engineering changes, with emphasis on MRP, cost optimization, and documentation compliance. Candidates should have ERP experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field, or 4+ years of material planning experience.
• Strong understanding of production inventory control techniques.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for planning and inventory management.
• Familiarity with transportation logistics, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations.
• Results‑oriented with a strong bias for action; proactive in following up and resolving issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the supply of materials for production.
• Collaborate with suppliers, transport carriers, production teams, and inventory management.
• Utilize MRP systems to determine material needs based on schedules and changes.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and conduct regular audits.
• Negotiate with suppliers to optimize material costs.
• Ensure documentation compliance and ASN accuracy.
