Weber State University is seeking a MARS Intern to assist advanced materials research at the MARS Center in Clearfield, Utah. You will fabricate parts, prepare specimens, perform experiments, collect and analyze data, and prepare summary reports as part of the internship.

Qualifications

  • Shop tools experience (mill/lathe) preferred.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing and composite materials.
  • CAD experience.
  • Coding skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to commute to MARS Center in Clearfield, Utah.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds overhead.

Responsibilities

  • Assist MARS staff with research tasks related to advanced materials fabrication and development.
  • Fabricate parts and prepare test specimens.
  • Perform experiments and collect data.
  • Analyze data and prepare summary reports.
