Job summary

Weber State University is seeking a MARS Intern to assist staff with research on advanced materials fabrication and development. The intern will fabricate parts, prepare test specimens, perform experiments, collect data, and prepare summary reports.

The ideal candidate is pursuing an Engineering or related STEM degree, with shop tool experience (mill/lathe), CAD, additive manufacturing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering or related STEM degree.
• Shop tool experience (mill and lathe) preferred.
• Additive manufacturing and CAD experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to commute to MARS Center in Clearfield, Utah; lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist MARS staff with research on advanced materials fabrication and development.
