Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL), an Akima company, seeks a Material Expediter to coordinate movement, staging, and prioritization of Army equipment at a contractor-managed site. You will ensure timely workflows between receiving, inspection, warehousing, and transportation while complying with Army regulations and contract requirements.

The position requires 2–4 years of logistics experience, a high school diploma, forklift/MHE certification, and the ability to work on-site in a high-volume

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of logistics, supply, or warehousing experience.
• Experience in equipment turn-in or material coordination desirable.
• Knowledge of US Army supply regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1).
• Army logistics systems: GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP.
• Forklift/MHE certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance.
• CAC eligibility and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Expedite movement of vehicles, equipment, and parts from receiving to inspection, staging, and warehousing areas.
• Prioritize items needing immediate attention or special handling.
• Ensure proper staging for inspection, accountability, or outbound shipment.
• Verify turn-in documents match items being processed.
• Track movement/status and update logs or Army systems.
• Communicate with Army units and contractor staff to resolve delays.
