Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Material Expediter to coordinate the movement, staging, and prioritization of Army equipment during the turn-in process at a contractor-managed site. You will ensure timely workflow between receiving, inspection, warehousing, and transportation while following Army supply regulations and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–4 years of logistics, warehousing, or supply experience.
• Experience with Army regulations and logistics systems is preferred.
• Forklift/MHE certification is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Expedite movement of vehicles, equipment, and parts from receiving to staging and warehousing areas.
• Monitor and prioritize items requiring immediate attention or special handling.
• Ensure equipment is staged properly for inspection, accountability, or outbound shipment.
• Verify turn-in documents match the items being processed.
• Track movement status using Army systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP) as required.
• Communicate with Army units to resolve delays or issues during turn-ins.
• Maintain inventory records and reconcile shortages or discrepancies.
