Job summary

Nordex seeks a Logistics Project Manager to lead transportation planning and cargo projects, ensuring cost-effective, compliant operations across domestic and international routes.

The role requires strong contract interpretation, KPI tracking, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams, with travel flexibility and a focus on safety and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (3–5 years) required.
• 3+ years’ experience in transportation planning/project cargo required.
• Ability to read and understand scopes of work and MSA contracts.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with cost models and/or cost analysis.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of international and domestic transportation documentation requirements.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and oversee logistics and supply chain projects from initiation to completion.
• Manage contractors, costs and budgets, permits, route optimization, transportation tool returns, project-site deliveries, and vessel operations.
• Manage end-to-end processes and logistics supplier contracts for assigned projects.
• Complete customs documentation with carriers, brokers, and forwarders.
• Lead meetings, prepare reports, and provide updates to senior management.
• Ensure safety procedures during port operations, vessel discharge, storage, and trucking loading.
• Plan, execute, and monitor logistics projects aligned with company goals and client requirements.
• Collaborate with transportation suppliers, procurement, and internal stakeholders.
• Track KPIs and performance metrics using logistics and project management tools.
• Communicate shipment and delivery status and proactively resolve logistical issues.
• Analyze cost drivers, processes, and specifications to identify cost and performance improvements.
• Create commercial invoices and packing lists.
• Apply logistics technology advances to improve processes.
• Support Nordex’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants enabling renewable energy

Requirements

• Knowledge of rigging and lifting tooling is a plus
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice
• Excellent oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience working in a constantly changing environment
• Fluency in English mandatory; French, Spanish, or German is a plus
• Full valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under Nordex’s auto insurance policy

• Ability to identify and mitigate safety hazards
• Ability to use required safety equipment, including eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats
