Job summary

Eaton’s Beaver, PA site is seeking a Material Specialist to ensure material readiness and timely production. This on‑site role connects Operations, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Planning and Procurement to protect the manufacturing schedule.

You will monitor shortages, coordinate recovery actions, and support continuous improvement of material flow, while avoiding supplier management or PO activities. This role focuses on site execution and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 2+ years in manufacturing, materials, planning, or related areas.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze schedules and inventory.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and material flow.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison across Operations, Scheduling, Materials, Quality, and Procurement to align on production priorities.
  • Identify and communicate shortages, constraints, and risks with cross‑functional teams.
  • Maintain forward view of material readiness by analyzing schedules and inventory.
  • Coordinate shortage recovery, expedite actions, and track risk until resolved or escalated.
  • Support root cause analyses for material disruptions and preventative actions.
  • Flag inventory and system discrepancies affecting material availability.
  • Collaborate with Quality to disposition rejected material and communicate issues.
  • Support continuous improvements in material flow and risk management.
