Job summary

Robinson, Inc. seeks a Materials Readiness Coordinator to ensure production has timely access to required materials. You will monitor availability, identify shortages, and resolve issues with production, planning, purchasing, and inventory teams to protect schedules.

The role focuses on tracking material readiness, reducing downtime from missing parts and improving material visibility. Minimal travel may be required; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory, materials, production support, planning, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience using ERP systems, scanners, spreadsheets, and production reports.
  • Experience in a multi-step manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor material readiness for assigned work centers, facilities and parts categories.
  • Identify shortages, missing parts, incomplete kits, and other material risks before they impact production.
  • Track down missing materials by researching system transactions, locations, prior moves, and open requirements.
  • Communicate with production, material handling, planning, purchasing, fleet, and supervisors regarding jobs that are not fully ready.
  • Verify materials required for upcoming work are available and aligned to the next operation.
  • Help maintain reports, dashboards, and shortage lists used to prioritize action.
  • Escalate unresolved issues that could impact schedule attainment or customer delivery.
  • Support readiness checks before movement to downstream operations.
  • Investigate discrepancies between system records and physical material status.
  • Help improve transaction accuracy, location accuracy, and material visibility.
  • Maintain clear notes and follow‑up on open issues until resolved.
