Material Program Manager – Advanced Technology (AT) Team
The role is based in Tucson, AZ and requires a DoD Top Secret security clearance. The position is onsite and may require up to 10% travel domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans.
- Plan and execute sourcing decisions and support the Make/Buy/Where process.
- Identify Customer Prime Contract Flow‑Downs and obtain any required terms attachments or modifications.
- Assist with the generation of Supplier Statements of Work.
- Generate Supplier RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs and obtain and understand supplier proposals and quotes.
- Lead proposal activities and BOM approvals.
- Drive Purchase Requisition generation and Purchase Order placement and management.
- Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance.
- Apply applicable policies and procedures to perform MPM tasks.
Qualifications You Must Have
- University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience; or an advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Experience in Program Management, Material Program Management, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and/or Strategic Sourcing.
- Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs).
- Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements.
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to support complex product development efforts.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills and ability to demonstrate RTX Leadership Behaviors.
- Experience in a matrixed organizational structure.
- Experience in material requirements planning (MRP).
- MPM level 3 or 4 certification or PM certification.
- Experience in executing program financials, risk and opportunity analysis, RLPM gates, and creating an MPP.
