Job summary

Assurant in Irving, TX is seeking an onsite Production Support Lead to assist Supervisors in training and developing the team while monitoring production performance and quality controls. You will work with shop floor systems, participate in stand-up meetings, and coordinate with departments to meet customer goals.

The role requires strong organizational skills and hands-on leadership on evenings (Mon-Thu, 5:30PM-4:00AM).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years light manufacturing experience or 1 year Inspector experience.
• Proficient in manual processing and meeting UPH expectations.
• Strong team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support Supervisors in training and developing the team.
• Monitor production performance and quality controls per work instructions.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor.
• Coordinate resource reallocation to meet customer goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper workflow.
• Be the point of contact for escalation issues.
• Identify and resolve process issues with Engineering.
• Track attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes.
• Participate in 6S audits and implement resulting changes.
• Perform OJT refresher training and workstation assessments.
• Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for the area.
• Monitor KPI and SLA performance and escalate as needed.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
• Ensure competency and certification in lead area.
• Compile and analyze data and complete daily reports.
• Train and coach associates as needed.

Job description

This job is responsible for working with the Supervisors and assisting in training and developing the team, monitoring production performance, ensuring production and quality controls are met while adhering to the work instructions for the area of responsibility.

This is an onsite role in our Irving TX facility with a schedule of Monday - Thursday, 5:30PM-4:00AM.

What will be my duties and responsibilities be in this job?

• Working knowledge of shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost)
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor
• Participate in internal and external customer or vendor meetings
• Work with Supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products etc.) as needed to meet customer goals
• Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper workflow is achieved
• Point of contact for employees for handling escalation issues
• Work with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues
• Ability to collaborate with other departments with their area of responsibility
• Track and maintain daily attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes
• Participate with the 6S Audit team on monthly 6S audits
• Work with supervisor to implement any changes or adjustments on production floor as a result from the audits
• Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility
• Perform on-the-job (OJT) refresher training and workstation assessment
• Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for specific area of responsibility
• Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and escalate any issues/concerns to supervisor when needed
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
• Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading
• Compile and analyze data
• Complete daily reports

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 year of previous light manufacturing experience or 1 year of previous Inspector experience
• Proficient in manual processing and receiving, consistently meeting UPH expectations

Pay Range

$17.34 - $27.75
