Job summary

Assurant is hiring for an onsite production training and supervisor-support role in Irving, TX. The position focuses on training team members, monitoring production performance, and ensuring quality controls align with work instructions.

The role requires experience in light manufacturing or inspector work, strong teamwork, and solid time management. The schedule is Monday–Thursday, 5:30PM–4:00AM, with daily escalation handling as needed.

• Minimum of 2 years of previous light manufacturing experience or 1 year of previous Inspector experience.
• Proficient in manual processing and receiving, consistently meeting UPH expectations.

Responsibilities

• Work with Supervisors and assist in training and developing the team.
• Monitor production performance and ensure production and quality controls are met as per area work instructions.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor and attend internal/external meetings as needed.
• Reallocate resources with Supervisor to meet customer goals and coordinate with other departments for workflow.
• Act as point of contact for employees for escalation issues and assist in problem resolution with Engineering.
• Compile and analyze data and complete daily reports, tracking KPI/SLA performance.

Job description

This job is responsible for working with the Supervisors and assisting in training and developing the team, monitoring production performance, ensuring production and quality controls are met while adhering to the work instructions for the area of responsibility.

This is an onsite role in our Irving TX facility with a schedule of Monday - Thursday, 5:30PM-4:00AM.

What will be my duties and responsibilities be in this job?

• Working knowledge of shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost)
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor
• Participate in internal and external customer or vendor meetings
• Work with Supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products etc.) as needed to meet customer goals
• Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper workflow is achieved
• Point of contact for employees for handling escalation issues
• Work with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues
• Ability to collaborate with other departments with their area of responsibility
• Track and maintain daily attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes
• Participate with the 6S Audit team on monthly 6S audits
• Work with supervisor to implement any changes or adjustments on production floor as a result from the audits
• Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility
• Perform on-the-job (OJT) refresher training and workstation assessment
• Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for specific area of responsibility
• Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and evolve any issues/concerns to supervisor when needed
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
• Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading
• Compile and analyze data
• Complete daily reports
• Train and coach associates as needed

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 year of previous light manufacturing experience or 1 year of previous Inspector experience

• Prior leadership experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, or another applicable environment
• Database software- data entry software in existing programs
• Spreadsheet software- Microsoft Excel- basic understanding and data entry into a preformed spreadsheet
• Word processing- Microsoft Word- basic documents and reports

Pay Range

$17.34 - $27.75
