Job summary

American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida is seeking a Training and Production Associate at our Irving, TX facility. The role collaborates with Supervisors to train the team, monitor production performance, and ensure quality controls are followed according to work instructions.

Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:00am to 4:30pm. You will participate in daily stand-up meetings, coordinate with engineering and other departments, manage resource reallocations, and support audits like

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of light manufacturing experience or 1 year as inspector.
• Proficient in manual processing and receiving, consistently meeting UPH expectations.
• Strong team player who will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Supervisors to train and develop the team, monitor production performance and ensure quality controls.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor; participate in internal and external customer or vendor meetings.
• Reallocate resources (people/supplies/products) to meet customer goals and collaborate with other departments.
• Maintain attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes and participate in 6S audits.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and implement changes from audits.
• Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and escalate issues to supervisor when needed.
• Perform on-the-job refresher training and workstation assessments.
• Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for specific area of responsibility.

Job description

This job is responsible for working with Supervisors and assisting in training and developing the team, monitoring production performance, ensuring production and quality controls are met while adhering to the work instructions for the area of responsibility. This role is based at our Irving, TX location with a schedule of Monday–Thursday from 6:00am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost)
• Participate in daily stand‑up meetings with Supervisor
• Participate in internal and external customer or vendor meetings
• Work with Supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products, etc.) as needed to meet customer goals
• Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper workflow is achieved
• Point of contact for employees for handling escalation issues
• Work with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues
• Ability to collaborate with other departments with their area of responsibility
• Track and maintain daily attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes
• Participate with the 6S Audit team on monthly 6S audits
• Work with Supervisor to implement any changes or adjustments on the production floor as a result of audits
• Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility
• Perform on‑the‑job (OJT) refresher training and workstation assessment
• Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for specific area of responsibility
• Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and elevate any issues/concerns to supervisor when needed
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
• Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading
• Compile and analyze data
• Complete daily reports
• Train and coach associates as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of previous light manufacturing experience or 1 year of previous inspector experience
• Proficient in manual processing and receiving, consistently meeting UPH expectations
• Strong team player who will thrive in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferred Skills

• Database software: data entry software in existing programs
• Prior leadership experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, or another applicable environment
• Spreadsheet software: Microsoft Excel, basic understanding and data entry into a pre‑formed spreadsheet
• Word processing: Microsoft Word, basic documents and reports

Pay Range: $17.34 – $27.75
