Job summary

Assurant, Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a team supervisor to train and develop staff, monitor production performance, and ensure quality controls are followed per work instructions.

This onsite role features a Mon-Thu schedule (6:00AM–4:30PM). You will lead daily stand-ups, coordinate with other departments, track attendance, and support process improvements while upholding safety and 6S standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification may be required for area of responsibility.
• Ability to collaborate with other departments and lead training programs.

Responsibilities

• Work with Supervisors to train and develop team.
• Monitor production performance and quality controls per work instructions.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor
• Reallocate resources as needed to meet customer goals
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper workflow
• Serve as point of contact for escalation issues
• Identify and resolve process issues with Engineering
• Maintain daily attendance roster for Evacuation purposes
• Participate in 6S audits and implement resulting changes
• Monitor inventory levels (WIP aging) for area of responsibility
• Track KPI and SLA performance and escalate to supervisor as needed

Job description

This job is responsible for working with the Supervisors and assisting in training and developing the team, monitoring production performance, ensuring production and quality controls are met while adhering to the work instructions for the area of responsibility.

This is an onsite role in our Irving, TX facility with a schedule of Monday - Thursday, 6:00AM – 4:30PM.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Working knowledge of shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost)

• Participate in daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor

• Participate in internal and external customer or vendor meetings

• Work with Supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products etc.) as needed to meet customer goals

• Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper workflow is achieved

• Point of contact for employees for handling escalation issues

• Work with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues

• Track and maintain daily attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes

• Participate with the 6S Audit team on monthly 6S audits

• Work with supervisor to implement any changes or adjustments on production floor as a result from the audits

• Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility

• Perform on-the-job (OJT) refresher training and work station assessment

• Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for specific area of responsibility

• Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and escalator ... to supervisor when needed

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1+ years lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Prior leadership experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, or another applicable environment preferred

• Ability to collaborate with other departments with their area of responsibility

• Training environment experience

• Forklift certified if needed for area of responsibility

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees

• Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading
