Job summary

Ruskin, part of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking a detail-oriented Material Planner to support our engineering and manufacturing operations in Grandview, MO. You will interpret drawings, manage BOMs, and ensure accurate material planning within the MRP system to keep production flowing.

You will work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and procurement, maintaining Excel/Word records, generating cut lists, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years of estimating, drafting experience, or shop floor experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong mathematical skills including rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Familiarity with MRP systems and part number management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with Autodesk products (AutoCAD and Inventor).
• Experience with AS400 and HVAC manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to create and maintain accurate BOMs for products not defined in the MRP configurator.
• Assign appropriate MRP part numbers based on standard and custom drawings.
• Enter BOM in the MRP system or coordinate with engineering for data entry.
• Generate manual cut lists for shop floor use as needed.
• Provide feedback to engineering on design inconsistencies or improvements.
• Maintain documentation using Excel and Word.
• Support continuous improvement in material planning and documentation.
