Mission:

The Material Planner is responsible for scheduling suppliers to support the manufacturing plant facility assigned. The job will consist of being responsible of a portfolio of suppliers – and schedule releases weekly.

Essential Functions of Role:

  • Perform daily system review of the stock on hand.
  • Perform daily system review of potential issue and risk to supply to the plant.
  • Execute weekly supplier schedule releases.
  • Produce weekly supplier arrears report.
  • Analyse the system MRP to calculate demand to make sure it is correct to support the demand.
  • Update weekly KPI results showing performance.
  • Produce weekly spend report analysis compared to the budget of the plant.
  • Analyse and fix system issues.
  • Review MRP parameters and provide results to plant management.
  • Analyse and report days on hand review (DOH per category).
  • Support end of production / engineering changes to avoid obsolescence.
  • Assess and develop action plan to reduce expedites.
  • Support 4PL and confirm the transport order was sent.
  • Confirm the collection from suppliers according to the supplier releases.

What we are looking for:

Educational Requirement: High School Graduate or Equivalent

Educational Preference: Bachelor’s Degree

Area of Study: Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business

(Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.)

Years of Experience Required:

  • 1 -3 Minimum Years of Experience with SCM. Material Planning in manufacturing facility preferred.
  • 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry preferred.

Required Qualifications:

  • Language Required: English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)
  • Language Preferred: Spanish
  • Experience with MRP SAP Module and Inventory Management.
  • Experience with Special Transport Management.
  • Experience tracking logistics scorecard/KPIs.
  • Experience with MRP Releases.
  • Experience handling Supplier Arrears.
  • Organizational skills, effective oral and written communication, creative thinking, time management, problem solving, project management, works well with all levels of the organization.
