Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a full-time Master Data Processor to create, maintain, and analyze material master data across Marathon's inventory systems. This role collaborates with Supply Chain partners on data records, process improvements, and data quality initiatives.

The position reports to the Material Master Supervisor and involves ensuring accurate material master data handling, record updates, and support for continuous improvement efforts across multiple refinery

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent in business administration or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of data entry, data evaluation, supply chain or related experience required.
• Knowledge of materials master data processes preferred; SAP or similar ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and process new material requests for warehouse inventory into material master data records.
• Review and process requests for changes to existing material master data records.
• Prevent duplicate records and standardize material descriptions and classifications.
• Request additional information from stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and searchability.
• Support data quality improvements and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist stakeholders with material master data related queries and processes.
• Perform data analysis to support metrics reporting and ad-hoc requests.
