Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations teammate to assist a Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) technician III with maintenance of MHE and industrial batteries. This role focuses on safety, preventive maintenance, and basic electrical/hydraulic knowledge.

The position offers 1st shift hours, a sign-on bonus up to $2,500, and a boot and tool allowance. Candidates should have four years in MHE maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; tech school preferred (2 years).
• Four years in an MHE maintenance position or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain MHE and batteries, including PMs, oil levels, belts, chains, and electrical controls.
• Perform small electrical repairs and welding as needed.
• Assist battery technicians with charger repairs and battery maintenance.
• Log time and materials in CMMS daily; manage work orders and PMs.
