Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a reliable loading dock associate in Marion, OH. The role involves hand loading windows and doors for outbound loads and internal transfers between locations, as well as unloading from other customer locations and staging on the dock.

Responsibilities include meeting quality and safety standards, achieving a 150 cube/hour rate, and using a tugger when needed. Overtime may be required, with comprehensive benefits and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Hand load windows and doors onto trailers per manifest and safety standards.
• Unload and stage windows and doors at dock in correct locations.
• Meet the rate requirement of 150 cube/hour or greater while maintaining quality and safety.
• Use tugger to move items from production lines and place carts in staging lanes; scan for correct lane.
• Support 5S initiatives and stay flexible for overtime as needed.

Job Description

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00 am- 4:30 pm

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Position Summary

The loading dock is responsible for hand loading windows and doors for outbound customer loads or internal transfers between Silver Line locations. Additionally, the loading dock is responsible for unloading windows and doors from other customer locations, moving windows from production lines to loading dock, and staging windows in proper lanes for loading.

Responsibilities

• Hand load windows and doors onto trailers according to manifest and consistently to the quality and safety standards established
• Unload windows and doors and stage in correct locations on dock according to the quality and safety standards established
• Ability to load or unload trailers at rate of 150 cube/hour or greater according to the quality and safety standards
• Utilize tugger, when necessary, to pull windows and doors from production lines and place carts in the proper staging lanes. Scan windows to correct staging lane upon delivery
• Adhere to and actively support departmental 5S initiatives
• Must work overtime as needed

Qualifications

• You must be 18 years or older to apply
• Possess a safety and continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion
• A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
• Must be able to adhere to, and display examples of Cornerstone Core Values
• Actively participate in the safety culture
• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not required
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail to prevent errors in orders
• Good verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors
• Ability to perform basic reading and arithmetic operations
