Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a warehouse associate in Gaffney, SC. The role involves loading/unloading trucks, picking and packing orders, and operating a forklift to move materials. You will read orders, prep shipments, and maintain inventory accuracy in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

The position starts with benefits from day one and weekly pay. A valid driver’s license or medical clearance is required, and forklift certification must be kept current.

Qualifications

• Previous Production/Manufacturing experience highly preferred
• Forklift operation required
• Must have a valid driver’s license (or medical clearance in lieu)
• Must pass forklift certification and recertification every 3 years
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment
• Drive company box truck (non CDL) to in town warehouse
• Ability to package parts for shipment
• Read and comprehend instructions
• Stock finished goods from breezeway to primary using RF

Responsibilities

JOB DETAILS

• Base Pay: $16.00 per hour
• 1st Shift: Monday- Friday, 7am-3pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Properly and safely load/unload delivery truck, trailer and/or customer vehicles while maintaining product integrity.
• Read and understand customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas with forklift.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins per predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Ensure warehouses are accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
• Assist in counting physical inventory and responsible for accuracy in count.
• Ability to operate machinery within warehouse.
• Maintaining warehouse to company standards of safety and cleanliness.
• Wear the proper safety equipment.
• Comply & promote all environmental, health & safety programs, laws and regulations.
• Assist, learn, and become efficient in every position within the Department.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous Production/Manufacturing experience highly preferred

• A valid driver’s license or successful medical clearance from a company-approved medical provider in lieu of a driver’s license
• Must be able to pass Company forklift certification and re-certification every three (3) years, or sooner if there is a change in driving record or medical history
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment
• Drive Company box truck, non CDL/DOT to in town warehouse to deliver and pick up products.
• The ability to package parts using all types of packaging materials, metal bands, covering, or other methods to secure product in boxes for shipment.
• The ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Stock finished goods from breezeway to primary using RF.
• Shop FEDEX bulk report.
• Load, drive product from main plant to Oxford and unload as needed.
• Work OT when 1st and 2nd breezeway associates take vacation.
• Work well with limited supervision.
• Wear the proper safety equipment.

I must successfully pass medical exam by Company medical provider. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
