Job Description

Must be able to provide your high school diploma or GED.

This position requires you to be clean-shaven.

Position is located in West Carrollton, OH.

Shift is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, 5 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., then Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, 5 p.m. to 5:30 a.m..

Position Purpose: Responsible for performing a variety of routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks involving the movement of solids and liquids. Under direct supervision, tasks may include manual labor in cleaning, decontamination, vacuum projects, handling, packing, re-packing, unloading, and loading containers for processing or transportation.

Primary Duties/responsibilities:

  • Load and unload various sized containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers, etc.)
  • Construct boxes and/or fiber containers, label, and load containers.
  • Use a variety of tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers, etc.
  • Transport hazardous waste materials within the facility as directed.
  • Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and containers following RCRA and disposal guidelines.
  • Assist in completing paperwork for processing and transportation of materials.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Inspect material handling equipment as directed.
  • Assist in loading/unloading hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials using appropriate equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Prior work experience of 3 to 6 months in hazardous waste or chemical industry, proficiency in handling forklifts and tools preferred

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate through reading and writing
  • Trained in the use of material handling equipment

Required Certification / Licenses / Training:

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER training preferred
