TSA,part of the Ryerson Family of Companies, is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a bilingual, Spanish Shipper (Material Handler) to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating our administrative functions while providing varying levels of support to management. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities

Roles and Responsibilities

• Select material from specific heats or for physical condition in accordance with instructions on orders
• Unload and receive the material, which includes weighing, counting, and checking sizes.
• Identify by color, heat, and/or test numbers. Organize into stock racks or designated areas.
• Record necessary information on receiving tickets or other documents
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards of each job assignment.
• Fill in for absent positions as qualified, excluding maintenance, as needed on a daily basis
• All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements

• Successfully pass a skills-based assessment - evaluates your reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in metals or a warehouse setting
• Crane, forklift, and good computer skills are a plus
• Must be able to use measuring tools, specifically a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper
• Must be a team player
• Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding
