This role involves overseeing administrative functions and supporting management in a dynamic, quality-focused environment that fosters career growth in the metals industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Select material based on heat or physical condition according to order instructions.
• Unload and receive materials, including weighing, counting, and inspecting sizes.
• Identify materials by color, heat, and test numbers, and organize them into designated storage areas.
• Record information on receiving tickets and related documents.
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards for each task.
• Fill in for absent qualified positions as needed, excluding maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

• Successfully pass a skills assessment covering reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving.
• Experience in metals or warehouse environments.
• Crane, forklift, and computer skills are a plus.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Enrollment in a registered apprenticeship program will be part of onboarding.
