Job description

Title: Material Handler/ Service Technician

Location: North Reading, MA, US01864

Duration: 9 Months

Schedule: Training for the first month will be from 6:15 am to 2:45 pm, switching to 2nd shift 3 pm to 11:30 pm for the remainder of the contract.

Details:

• Client is seeking a Service Technician responsible for Robotics assembly, Material Handling, and product packaging.

Job Requirements:

• Members of the Assembly and Logistics teams, responsible for building, automated testing, and packaging of products.
• Utilize manufacturing tools (torque tools, wrenches, channel locks, etc.) following instructions to perform tasks.
• Build electro-mechanical units using industry best practices.
• Handle shipping, receiving, maintaining, tracking, and delivering goods following protocols.
• Learn systems and tools for material management and coordinate with suppliers and customers.
• Seek process improvements to ensure on-time delivery.
• Operate power industrial equipment and pallet jacks for loading and unloading trailers.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
• Work safely in structured manufacturing environments.

Additional Expectations:

• Complete tasks efficiently, typically within 5-10 minutes per station.
• Perform assembly steps such as wiring, bolting, and inserting components, then move to the next station.
• Stand for approximately 8 hours, excluding breaks.
• Provide own steel-toed or composite-toed shoes.

Additional Information:

Basic PPE provided includes glasses, gloves, and ESD smocks. The work involves building various robots and mobility units, focusing on electrical and mechanical assembly with power tools and lift assists. No soldering is required.
